Philadelphia's City Hall is the world's tallest masonry building with the exterior being primary of limestone, granite and marble. It was the tallest building in the world from 1901 to 1908 and, with almost 700 rooms it is the largest municipal building in the U.S. It is topped with a 37 foot bronze statue of William Penn.
